i came across someone’s blog and this kinda stuck out to me:

“For one look at yourself, take ten looks at Christ.”

why would we choose to focus so much on ourselves when Christ is so perfect, so great and so loving? how often do we focus on the wrong way to go about doing something instead of the right way? we don’t end up getting answers, we don’t go anywhere. maybe we grow frustrated. maybe we grow prideful and stubborn. who knows. bottomline is: look always to Christ, but ofcourse, stopping to keep yourself in check to see ifyou’re on the right track, then og back to looking at God. it’s kinda like when you’re a kid, you like to follow the gaze of what your parent is looking at since they know to look at what’s important or interesting, and checking back to see if their gaze has shifted. hrmm.
